Max Gorenzis ‘Excuse My French Part’ dropped in January to leave those mouths open. It is unbelievable how stylishly Max chases his boards through the streets.
Pontus Alv – In Search of the Miraculous
Pontus Alv released his short film ‘In Search of the Miraculous’ and for me this was the clip of the month. Skateboarding in its’ purest form and additionally recorded with analogue Super 8 and 16mm film. A piece of art that should be re-watched.
Wes Kremer’s “SOTY & the Hemmies” video
Defending SOTY Wes Kremer, went to the Canary Islands with his Hemmies. For me this was the absolute highlight in March. Lean back and enjoy.
Denny Pham’s “It’s A Phamtastic World” Part
In April, skatedeluxe skate teamrider Denny Pham dropped his ‘It’s A Phamtastic World’ part over at Thrasher Magazine, showing beautiful an technical skateboarding.
Willow the Winter Warrior
Willow’s ‘Winter Warrior’ part came out in May. The skatedeluxe skate team rider filmed this complete part during winter – making this clip even more gnarly.
The American Dream (NYC Fake Trip)
Willow is also part of my favorite clip of June. Pretending they are filming a clip in New York, the skatedeluxe skate team rider filmed a clip alongside his homies in the industrial Ruhr Valley. The skyline got added afterwards. We love that kind of humor.
HUF Quality Footwear Presents: The Gillette
Austyn Gillette celebrated his HUF pro shoe in Juli, providing an amazing and diverse part. Definitely worth watching again, and again, and again!
Stay Flared: Lakai x Emerica Tour
August was the time of the ‘Stay Flared Tour’. The tour of Emerica and Lakai that set America on fire. You can watch all other parts here.
Douwe Macare – Welcome Clip | skatedeluxe Skate Team
The race for SOTY slowly started in November and with Luan Oliveira putting out his “Mic Check” Part, which was super surprising and sick. The LRG 1947 video dropped but the parts aren’t available anymore. Nyjah released footage of the most technical handrail skating witnessed in his ‘OMFG’ part.
Shane O’Neill’s welcome to Primitive Part
Speaking December, the Primitive welcome-part of Shane O’Neill was an absolute highlight as well as the release of the Nike SB Chronicles Vol.3 video. And I guess there is not much more to come. We are all relaxing before the big party to end this incredible year!
