A short while ago we presented you the ‘Top 15 Skateboard Deck’ and ‘Top 5 Skateboard Truck brands of 2015’. Everyone knows that there is something important missing to complete a good setup. To start rolling you need some wheels. Because of that we present you the Top 5 Skateboard Wheel brands of last year.

With this entry, we want to show you which wheels you took to the streets the most last year. The ranking is resulting from the sales of the wheelbrands, the search requests, brand-shop-visits and your interest on the Blog news and entries covering the single brands.

The best brands & clips of 2017

#05: Ricta Wheels

#05: Ricta Wheels
Ricta Wheels open the Top 5 Skateboard wheel brands of 2015. Beside one of the best teams in the business (with dudes like David Gonzalez, Bob Burnquist, Rune Glifberg, Tom Asta, Nyjah Huston, Jerry Hsu and many more) they produce one of the best wheels you can possibly get. For 35,99€, you can put them on your trucks without getting any flatspots but one of the finest wheels out there.

#04: Emillion Wheels

#04: Emillion Wheels
The fourth winner are the wheels from Emillion Skateboarts who do not just produce high-quality decks, but are a talented manufacturer of wheels as well. Again, the cost-benefit ratio of the wheels seems to be a winning criteria, as you can get them for 21,99€ in the skatedeluxe shop. What else do you have left to complain about, when guys like Alex Mizurov, Ben Dillinger, Norbert Szombati, Fitschi and Erik Groß are rolling on those wheels? Right, nothing!

#03: MOB Skateboards

#03: MOB Skateboards Wheels
On third place, we welcome the wheels from MOB Skateboards. They are from beautiful Hassia in Germany. Concidering the amazing cost-benefit ratio, their wheels are hard to beat because you can screw them to your trucks for 24,99€ a set. The wheels are durable and will serve you with some good times cruising around. Guys like Danny Sommerfeld, Alex Ullmann, Alex Denkiewicz, Laif Draasch and Kerem Elver approve.

#02: Spitfire

#02: Spitfire
Spitfire is in the game for almost 30 years and that is one reason why they got second place. The wheels with the Flamehead-logo hailing from the Deluxe Distribution in San Francisco are hardly outdone when it comes to quality. You get a set of burning wheels for 24,99€ in our shop. Since they released their Formular Four Wheels you won‘t get any flatspots ever again. The speed-control and slideability are one of the best in the game and big names like Andrew Reynolds, Chris Cole, Corey Kennedy, Grant Taylor, Ishod Wair and many more know that aswell.

#01: Bones Wheels

#01: Bones Wheels
Bones Wheels are produced for more than 40 years now. That‘s the reason why their wheels are so popular in the business and why they made 1st place in the ranking. With so much experience on your hands you might just produce with top notch materials. With the Street Tech Formular (STF), flatspots are a thing of the past. You like to skate parks? You should get a set of SPF Bones Wheels. Furthermore Bones has five different shapes to suit any terrain. The cream topping is the team which is full of sick pros. Here are some names: Jaws, Chris Joslin, Evan Smith, Tony Hawk, Chris Haslam, Matt Berger and many more. A set of Bones Wheels starts from 34,99€ in our shop.

Certainly we got a lot more urethane by other brands in the shop which you should definitely check out. Wayward-Wheels and Wreck-Wheels are totally fresh in our wheel-assortment. And they are waiting to get tested by you. OJ Wheels and Pig Wheels have been producing really great wheels for any kind of skating for a very long time now. For a smaller wallet you should check out the SK8DLX wheels which have the AFS construction making them super flatspot-resistent as well. Once you have found wheels that work for you, we know that you might not really want to change your setup. But maybe you want to try something new. We‘re looking forward which brands make the Top 5 skateboard wheel brands this year. And we are curious to read about your favourite wheels from last year on here as well.
