Choosing the right longboard deck can sometimes be like rocket science. A lot of shapes, materials, designs and disciplines don’t make the decision process easy. In the skatedeluxe skate shop you will find the longboard deck that was made for you.
Longboard decks are available in many varieties. We offer you the perfect deck for every need: a flat twin-tip freerider with drop-through truck mounting, a carving board with big cutouts and chamber profile, a top mount board with high concave, pintail cruiser and dancer with and without kicktail up to downhill longboards with a deep depth - the so-called drop. Is this a bit over your head? Our Longboard Wiki is guaranteed to help you!
Seven layers of maple wood plus epoxy resin? What’s clearly regulated with the skateboard isn’t so easy with the longboard. There are different materials used in order to produce the perfect longboard deck. The deck is often made of materials such as maple or bamboo, which are often combined with carbon or glass fibers. Besides that, more and more materials like ash, poplar wood or cork are used. One thing is certain: with longboard deck designs, emphasis is placed on a stable but flexible design. This will ensure that your board will withstand the most strain.
Longboard Flex - Which one fits you?
As you already may have noticed, the longboard deck has different shapes, lengths, widths and flex levels. A flexible deck is a nice thing for carving and cruising, but can be undesirable for downhill riding. To make the choice easier, we differentiated between three levels of flex: "stiff", "medium" and "flexy". That's how you can get an overview of how much flex your board is equipped with. Just use our filters to find the ideal longboard deck for you in the skatedeluxe skate shop. You can find even more information about longboarding in our Longboard Wiki.
