From London's South Bank into the World - The Road to Success by Palace Skateboards
First attention was given to the group with their PWBC Global Skateboard News videos. The satirical edits in the style of a trashy newscast quickly made the rounds and brought the PWBC a certain notoriety. The brand was originally called PWBC, but ultimately, Lev Tanju opted for Palace - an ironic reference to the rather spotty apartment in which he lived at the time.
Today, this is a thing of the past and Palace is at the top of the list with two flagship stores in London and New York, as well as collections with adidas, Reebok, Umbro or Tate. Nevertheless, the brand never lost sight of the scene and therefore sponsor a free spot for the skaters of South London with the MWADLANDS Indoor Skate Park.
But thanks to the experimental attitude and the openness to various influences from the fashion world, not only skaters belong to the fans of the brand. Even stars such as Rihanna, Jay Z and Jonah Hill are now seen more often in Palace clothing. Jonah Hill has even become the mascot of the brand and often appears in Ads by Palace Skateboards.
