Shortys Universal 1/8" Shock Pads (black) Pack de 2

For those of you who might be new to this, let me remind you, that unlike riser pads, shock pads (this product) are made out of soft foam. Their primary purpose is to reduce the strain of metal trucks pushing on your board causing cracks in your deck, especially during landings with lots of force. They also prevent the contact surface of the truck with the deck from having its shape carved into your board. The material is so soft, that as you tighten the screws attaching the trucks to your board, it will get squeezed and therefore no longer rise your board by 1/8 inch, but maybe only about 1-2mm (in my guesstimate). Dont leave the screws loose, if you want higher trucks, buy some riser pads in addition to the shock pads. As for the product itself, it works as advertised for a reasonable cost.

Diese Shockpads sind sehr dünn und weich - vorzugsweise doppelt oder nur zusammen mit anderen Shock- und Riserpads zu verwenden und direkten Kontakt zur Achse vermeiden, da das Material ziemlich fragil ist. Bis ich die Shockpads gekauft und montiert habe, wusste ich gar nicht, dass es Riser mit diesem geringen Härtegrad gibt und war sehr erfreut darüber, dass obwohl ich anfangs dachte, dass dies normale Hard-Riserpads seien, diese trotzdem zu meinem Stufenfederungs-"Entwurf" gepasst haben (Ich ging davon aus, dass die blauen pig piles sehr weich sind), welcher aus mehreren dünnen Shock- und Riserpads mit unterschiedlichen Härtegraden besteht.
