Carpet Company - Skateboards out of mom's basement
If there's one skate brand at the moment that deserves to be called "independent & skater owned", it has to be Carpet Company from Baltimore, Maryland. In the mid 2015, brothers Ayman and Osama Abdeldayem came up with a name for their brand. Ever since then they have worked on their own designs for skateboard decks and clothing. Unsatisfied with the sample quality of other manufacturers, they quickly decided to produce stuff from Carpet Company on their own - in their parents basement.
Do It Yourself - Carpet Company Skateboards
This way they can make sure that the decks, t-shirts and hoodies from Carpet Company fulfill the brothers high-quality standards. Equipped with a screen printing machine and a lot of creativity they produce handmade Carpet Company skateboard decks & apparel which you can order easily in the skatedeluxe skate shop. Of course, Ayman and Osman don't stop at leaving their very own marks on each and every item they craft. Details like small embroideries or special printing techniques make Carpet Company a true DIY brand.
Meanwhile, Carpet Company has its own work space. Considering that both Abdeldayem brothers have full-time jobs, it's clear how much commitment and dedication is involved in Carpet Company skateboards. You can also recognize this through the elements of their Egyptian muslim culture that they incorporate into their designs on a regular basis. However, as the name Carpet Company suggests: there's always a good mix of humor that goes along with it.
