From the start, Emerica shoes were relatively simple skate shoes - without all the frills and fully focused on the needs of skaters. Nevertheless, Emerica was a pioneer of his time and has lastingly changed the image of modern skateboarding. This is undoubtedly due, in part, to the strong image that the brand has built up over the years. Anyone who has ever been on a skateboard knows that behind the green-tinted footage is Emerica.

Pierre-André Senizergues, etnies founder and CEO of Sole Technology, Inc., initially marketed Emerica in the mid-1990s as a shoe line specifically for the US under the name of Etnies America. With time, it became Emerica, which developed into one of the most iconic skate shoe brands ever. As a subsidiary brand of Sole Technology, you can be sure that Emerica is committed to sustainability, resource-efficient manufacturing and distribution channels.

Made to withstand serious skateboarding - Emerica Footwear

Like skateboarding itself, Emerica is opposed to the conventional. The brand designs products for skateboarders who prefer sturdy, functional shoes and clothing to technical frills. Models like the Emerica Romero Laced, Provost Slim, Wino or The Figueroa are the embodiment of simple and timeless skate shoes. However, for the nostalgic skater, Emerica still carries the classic silhouettes, such as the Reynolds or the Emerica Hsu Low. Nevertheless, it’s easy to see that Emerica skate shoes come from the house of Sole Technology and do not spare on useful features.

While seamless front panels, hidden toe caps and durable upper are among the basics, the G6 technology has given the Emerica shoes a major update in cushioning and impact protection. In the Emerica Shop at skatedeluxe, you’ll find a number of Emerica shoes with the G6 footbed. In addition to the technologies from Emerica, the blog also includes a selection of wear tests and reviews of Emerica skate shoes.

The Emerica Team: E.F.F.S.

The roots of this brand are deeply embedded in skateboarding and it’s no different with the Emerica Skate Team, which hasn’t changed much over the years. True to their motto: “E.F.F.S. – Emerica Forever. Forever Emerica”, the core of the team is still made up of the skaters who were there from the start. Kevin "Spanky" Long, Justin Figueroa, Collin Provost and Leo Romero have relied on Emerica shoes for years.

With riders like Jon Dickson, Jeremy Leabres, Dakota Servold and newcomers like Julian Davidson, Victor Aceves, Kevin Baekkel or Erick Winkowski every video Emerica releases is the highlight of the year. Classics like 'Stay Gold' and 'Made: Chapter One' or the long-awaited 'Made: Chapter Two' impressively prove what Emerica is all about: 100% skateboarding.
