Gramicci was born out of the need to have functional clothing for climbing. Brand founder Mike Graham couldn't find any shorts or pants on the outdoor market at the time that met his climbing needs. In short, he began making the first Gramicci shorts himself in 1982 in his garage in Ventura, California. The legendary Gramicci G-Pant followed shortly after. Ever since then it is considered a legendary garmetn in the outdoor and climbing world. The rest is history as they say.

From the mid-1980s, the clothing of Gramicci found more and more appeal in the surf and skate scene, as well as among streetwear connoisseurs. This has not changed until today and Gramicci is known far beyond the outdoor market.
