Something for everyone - Nike SB shoes for skating
Nike SB skate shoes are designed specifically for skating. The shoes are designed to give you the best possible performance on the board. They draw most of their influence from past Nike basketball and running shoes.
Before you decide which Nike SB skate shoe to buy, here's a tip on sizing: As usual with athletic shoes, Nike SB shoes have a rather tight fit. So if you prefer a rather loose fitting shoe or have problems with tight shoes, we recommend to consider shopping half a size up.
The selection of Nike SB shoes for skating is very large. There are team shoes, pro shoes, signature colorways, the Orange Label collection and limited edition versions. Only a few skaters get a pro model from Nike SB, where they can participate in the design process.
Signature colorways are usually team shoes, but have a specific colorway based on the imagination of a member of the skate team. Nike SB Orange Label shoes are limited editions that you can only find in skate shops and of course you can order them at skatedeluxe.
From Bruin, Blazer & Co. - the Nike SB Classics
Nike SB offers you a wide range of different shoe types. Of course, each person has their own preferences, but over time some models have emerged as scene favorites. Among the most popular skate shoes are certainly Nike SB Bruin and Nike SB Blazer.
The Nike SB Blazer has its origins in basketball and has been reworked and almost perfected for the high demands of skating. The Blazer is available as a classic mid-top version or as a low-top. The silhouette of the Nike SB Blazer skater shoe has remained the same, but many variations of the shoe have been developed in recent years.
The Nike SB Bruin also has its origins in basketball and is considered one of the most iconic shoes in the sport. A classic, athletic design and cutting-edge Nike SB technology make the Bruin one of the most popular skate shoes around.
Other popular Nike SB models include the team shoes Verona Slip, Heritage Vulc and the Force 58. Diverse signature colorways make the Nike SB team shoes exciting representatives in the Nike SB assortment.
Nike SB Dunks - a world of its own
The shoe that made Nike's entry into the skateboarding business much easier is the Nike SB Dunk. The model was already quite popular at the time, but with a revamped skate version, Nike SB was finally able to gain traction and establish itself as a skateboarding shoe brand within the scene.
The unique colorways play a special role with the Nike SB Dunks. A very high demand drives the trend. In the skatedeluxe skate shop you can get the popular Nike SB Dunks usually through release raffles.

» to the Nike SB accessoriesA long way - Nike SB's history and the SB skate team
Nike's entry into the skateboarding market has not been easy. In the late 90's and early 2000's, the skate shoe market was primarily led by already established brands like Vans, DC, éS, Osiris and Emerica. The shoe that opened the doors of the skate world for Nike is undoubtedly the Nike SB Dunk.
The first official team riders of Nike SB were Reese Forbes, Gino Iannucci, Richard Mulder and Danny Supa. All four received a signature Dunk: the "Colors By" series, which is still in high demand today. Shortly after, the team expanded with exceptional talent Paul Rodriguez and the Australian Lewis Marnell (RIP).
In 2007 Nike SB released their first skate video called "Nothing But The Truth". Shortly after that the two videos "Debacle" and "SB Chronicles Vol. 1" followed. The first two videos already caused a big stir within the skate scene, but especially "SB Chronicles Vol. 1" made a big splash, as it showed skaters like Stefan Janoski, Wieger Van Wageningen, Chet Childress, Grant Taylor, Youness Amrani and Daniel Shimizu.

Today, Nike SB has one of the most notable and largest skate teams around. Current team riders include Ishod Wair, Nyjah Huston, Shane O'Neill, Grant Taylor, Max Palmer, Karsten Kleppan, Leo Baker, Sarah Meurle, Hjalte Halberg, Jacopo Carozzi, Nicole Hause, Hayley Wilson, Cyrus Bennett and many more.
Respecting the past & looking ahead: Nike SB's vision for the future
Of course, Nike SB keeps up with the time and continuously develops new technologies to improve and optimize the performance of its skate shoes. Projects such as Nike Grind and Nike SB Flyleather, among others, offer a glimpse into the future.
The Nike Grind program uses recycled materials and industrial waste, among other things, to recycle them into new products. In the long term, Nike's goal is to establish a continuous cycle and reduce waste production to a minimum.
Nike Flyleather is a combination of recycled leather scraps and synthetic materials. Here, too, the goal is to produce less waste in the future and thus guarantee a more sustainable production in the long term. According to Nike, Flyleather is lighter and more durable than full-grain leather.
