Reebok Classics – Quality as a tradition!
Since 2005, Reebok has been part of the adidas family, but the brand’s heritage goes much further back to the year 1895. That's when the J.W. Foster and Sons Company was founded with the invention of the first spiked running shoes that pushed and revolutionized popular sports. In 1958, Reebok was created with the aim to concentrate fully on the development of sport shoes.
The name Reebok is based on the Afrikaans word "Ribbok", which describes a type of African antelope. The attributes are quite fitting: speed, strength, and endurance. However, it was a bit of a coincidence because Joseph William Foster found the word in an Afrikaans dictionary that he received for winning a race. Today Reebok is known for high-quality sneakers, sports shoes, and trainers.
With Reebok Classics, the brand brings you streetwear and shoes for a modern lifestyle. Therefore, you get fresh Reebok T-shirts and jackets from Reebok with a distinctive yet subtle design. The shoes from the Rebook Classics line are mostly sneakers that are created to fit the demands of people in urban areas, which is right up the alley for skateboarders.
Experience without constraint – Reebok & Skateboarding
While Reebok never tried to force its way into skateboarding, their footwear paved the way on their own. With their outstanding quality, classic silhouettes like the Reebok Club C 85 and the Reebok Workout impressed skateboarders around the world as solid shoes for both everyday-day use and as a skate shoe. Thus, without even trying, Reebok earned the title as skateboarding’s favourite unofficial skate shoe brand.
This is proven by collaborations with core skateboard brands like Palace and DGK. Reebok shoe models like the Reebok x Palace Club C and the Reebok x DGK Workout Lo, have been well received in the skate community. The DGK Workout Lo presented by Stevie Williams in 2005 had quite an impact. And with innovations from adidas, today's Reebok shoes can shine even more thanks to useful features like an abrasion-resistant, stitched rubber outsole with pivot point, a double-stitched, perforated toe cap and a reinforced heel area.
