The material and the perfect fit

In contrast to the classic white or grey sport socks that are typically made of cotton, most skate socks are comprised of polyester, cotton, elastane, and diverse stretch materials. This material mix ensures that the socks don’t feel too tight or too loose. Elastic bands guarantee a firm hold in the shoes because the socks perfectly conform to the shape of your feet.

The fabric also helps make the socks more breathable. This means that not only will you sweat less, but also the little moisture that is produced can evaporate more quickly. You don’t want to have to wring your socks out and hang them up to dry after every session.

Special skateboarding features

For many skate socks, the individual needs of us skaters are considered in the manufacturing process. Consequently, many socks in our shop have a reinforced footbed, which helps dampen the impact forces in landing tricks, helping to protect your feet.

For some brands and models, like in Stance brand socks, the skateboarding specific areas on the heels, toes, and the front of the foot (the so-called “Ollie area”) are specially reinforced to prevent holes from forming.
