The development of the adidas 3ST series continues steadily, and the concept of creating a skate shoe with the best all-around board feel is more relevant than. The new adidas 3ST.003 comes very close to this goal. Senior footwear designer Scott Johnston teamed up with Miles Silvas and other pro skaters to create the so-called “Future Cup”. As the working title of the 3ST.003 reveals, this skate shoe clearly focuses on the outsole.

With inspiration provided by the adidas’ rich archive, the thicker rubber cupsole is reminiscent of the proven technology of vintage adidas indoor football shoes. Meanwhile, the one-piece suede upper with the perforated three-stripes gives the shoe a more minimalistic look. Extended support as well as improved durability through the rubber toe wrap show once more the technological progress of the 3ST line. The adidas 3ST.003 is the systematic evolution of its predecessor models and an absolute innovation in terms of design.

With the idea in mind to create something completely new, the adidas Skateboarding 3ST.001 was created under the direction of senior footwear designer Scott Johnston. The goal was to generate a minimalistic yet futuristic skate shoe that offers a bunch of new technology without looking to overstuffed. Thus, each 3ST model features adidas' proven TORISON system, which provides arch support in the midfoot, allowing for easy adaption of quick movement to enhance response and stability. A technology, adidas originally introduced back in the 80s on their running shoes.

Combined with a modern vulc construction and a Geoflex outsole, the adidas 3ST.001 offers plenty of flexibility and grip for optimal boardfeel and control. On top, the shoe comes with a comfortable knit sock upper that is reinforced at the key points with suede as well as the adiTuff technology in the toe area.
