The story: from P-Rod & Primitive Store to Primitive Skateboarding
Paul Rodriguez, aka P-Rod, is a household name to most skaters. An early member of the Nike SB team, legendary clips and countless contest wins are cornerstones of his career. When P-Rod competed with a now iconic golden deck during the Street League stop in Portland in 2013, the hype for Primitive Skateboards began.
But the idea of the brand started much earlier. Back in 2008, Rodriguez, along with Heath Brinkley, Andy Netkin, Jay Partow and Jubal Jones, opened the Primitive Store in Encino, California. A few years later, the project turned into a solid skateboard brand that has become an indispensable part of the scene.
