The Yardsale signature look is a blend of glamorous 80's culture in Los Angeles and South London's suburban look. Yardsale's clothing has evolved into collections of polo shirts, quarter zippers, velour track jackets and corduroy pants. Despite the slightly different approach that could easily break through into the fashion scene, Yardsale is a 100% core skate brand that is only sold at skate shops.

Yardsale skateboard decks give you that extra dose of retro designs. With particular dedication, the guys from Yardsale continue to create board designs with fine details that reflect the 80's Los Angeles beach lifestyle to match their streetwear. Gradients, photo prints and fonts on the skateboards from Yardsale put you back in time; it just feels like skating down Broadway Blvd in Downtown Los Angeles.

Yardsale | contrary to monotony

Like many great things, Yardsale was born out of boredom. In the winter of 2012, founder Daniel Kretiem worked in a shop in London that sold sneakers to kids when he realised that he didn't want to be doing that much longer. It bothered him that at the time, no other British skate brand besides Palace Skateboards had done something that the British youth could identify with.

He wanted to create apparel, deck graphics and skate videos that enrich the London skate scene and provide a new approach. Since 2013, the brand from East London has been providing the scene with stylish clothing, high-quality skateboard decks and equally aesthetic skate footage.

Retro vibes and British skating - The Yardsale Skate Videos

Most of the young team around Yardsale have known each other since childhood. The rest are locals and friends from the skate park they feel connected to. Together these guys create a unique family feeling and made Yardsale the brand it is today. Since there is more of a family vibe than a hierarchy, they decide together where to go for the next skate trip.

So far, the "family holidays" have taken them to Los Angeles, Japan and New York. Their first video “LDN-LAX” was filmed all over the U.K. and around Los Angeles over a period of a year. After its premiere in the London Wayward Gallery, the video was highly acclaimed by the skate scene of London and it looked like it was quickly going upwards from there.

The trips, on which videos such as Fantasy Island, Softcore and Hotel Romance originated, are filmed and edited by brand founder Dan himself and show the kind of skating that has become typical for Yardsale: super fast and creative skating on rough surfaces where it would not be fun at all to fall at high speeds.
