I've been riding this deck daily as my main setup and it's been a solid choice, especially for someone progressing through the fundamentals. The 8.25" width hits a nice sweet spot — wide enough to feel stable under your feet for learning tricks like ollies, but not so wide that it feels sluggish for flips down the road. The concave is medium and comfortable, giving you good foot placement and board feel without being too aggressive. Pop is snappy out of the box and holds up well over time with regular sessions. The standard 7-ply maple construction is durable for the price, though if you're skating hard every day, expect normal wear — razor tail will eventually catch up like any traditional maple deck. One thing worth noting: if you're coming from an 8" deck, the jump to 8.25" feels natural and gives you noticeably more landing space without a huge adjustment period. Pros: Great pop, comfortable concave, solid durability for a standard maple deck, clean graphic Cons: Standard maple construction means it won't last as long as premium composite decks, graphic wears quickly with grip and skating Bottom line: A reliable, no-frills deck that does exactly what it's supposed to. Baker keeps it simple and consistent, and at this price point it's hard to complain. Great option if you want a quality deck without overthinking it.
