I knew when I bought these that I’d have to cut them to size, which I’m not a big fan of. I haven’t skated with these insoles yet, so I can’t comment on how they feel on the board.

They press on the heel quite a bit, so it takes some getting used to. After a while it feels normal, and they actually hold the heel in place quite well. The material really does absorb vibration and impact — you can feel it. What’s missing is proper arch support under the foot. Overall, it’s worth trying to see whether it works for you or not. Just don’t expect any magical results.

Unfortunately, I have to give these insoles a negative review. FP Insoles’ material works wonders, and I don’t doubt that for a second because I’m a huge fan of theirs—if it weren’t for these insoles, I probably wouldn’t even be able to keep skateboarding. Unfortunately, the first time I used these, I twisted my ankle pretty badly because they raise your heel too high, and in my opinion, that increases the risk of landing your foot wrong. Flat insoles are much safer.
