Extra washers let you keep your axle nuts at the end of the thread so that you don't ruin it. The washers included with trucks are often not enough. Minimizing wheel side movement will also make your bearings last longer, spacers or not. These are a bit thicker than inch pattern standard washers you get with trucks. It's very useful to combine thicknesses to get the right spacing.

Cheap and really reliable. I definitely recommend them for a fresh set of speed rings like 1 percent. Will buy again.

I bought use these speed rings to exchange them for old speed rings as well as for my new boards. The rings are well made and have no sharp ridges. I can therefore recommend these rings without reservation.
