For decades I've been looking for my all-time favorite, the Vans Native American - unfortunately in vain (if there was ever an RI - I'd buy 10 pairs right away)! I loved them and bought several pairs in a row over the years. Now I've stumbled across the Dakotas, which with their rubberized toe cap and logo print on the ankle at least echo parts of the NA. OK - they're green and made of fabric, but the look with the brass-colored eyelets rocks so much that you can call them a "worthy successor" to the NA. They are also comfortable (and certainly have even more cushioning comfort than the NAs). Top shoe. Therefore full marks!
