The shoe really captures the spirit of the classic vulcanized Vans with a few extra touches. I find them sturdier, and the sole is more flexible in the front. I’ve already used them on two boards, and they’re still in great shape—not even a hole yet—which is impressive, whereas with other brands or models, you have to apply shoe glue pretty quickly. As for the feel, they’re super comfortable and very precise—a little tricky at first if you’re not used to the vulcanized sole, but flips launch like missiles. A great model that’s easy to ride and comfortable to wear. The big surprise is that they’re super durable (though that probably depends on the version and materials). A timeless classic, just like Curren Caples.
