This deck is a step up in every way. The Hydrant is Andy Anderson's pro model in his signature Shape 311 — a unique, symmetrical design that's a refined version of his Vajra shape. It's not a standard popsicle; it measures 8.25" at the waist and just under 8.5" at the widest, with inner cuts that create a front-foot pocket and a square edge with slightly curved nose and tail. The shape feels distinct in hand, but it's intuitive under your feet. Built with Powell's Flight construction — hard rock maple reinforced with high-strength fiberglass and epoxy resin — the difference from a standard 7-ply deck is immediately noticeable. It's lighter, snappier, and significantly more durable. If you skate daily, the longevity alone justifies the higher price tag. At 8.4", it's a nice width bump if you're moving up from an 8.25" or smaller. The extra real estate gives you more stability and a more planted feel, especially when working on ollies and landing tricks. The K26 concave is well-balanced — enough to lock your feet in and help with flick tricks without feeling cramped. The Flight construction is the real star. The fiberglass layering makes the deck incredibly resistant to chipping, snapping, and razor tail. Where a standard maple deck might last a few weeks of daily skating, a Flight deck can go for months. The pop also stays consistent way longer than traditional wood, so you're not fighting a dead board halfway through its life. The graphics are brilliant the board is light for its size it pops very well I recommend it for Casper,on the graphic you can't see well on the picture but there is a signature of andy anderson

What can I say about this deck... in all honesty, I think it's not far from perfection. Its symmetrical side is ultra-convenient when you're a bit "stuck" on the direction of your board (for an old guy like me!!! :) In short, if the price makes you hesitate, take the plunge with your eyes closed! This deck is the best there is right now!
