This brace is great to feel safer while skating. Holds tight and doesn't let your ankle roll but still allows you to do every trick. Fits almost perfectly inside shoes, just make your laces a bit wider at the top. Recommended to anyone who has had ankle injuries, very useful to avoid getting hurt again
A rolled my ankle pretty hard last summer and decided to get one of these, because im old and i heal way slower than i used to. It already saved me a couple of weeks of limping and i can skate without worrying!
i got the parts after I pulled off the straps like Velcro on an actually relaxed FS Shuv, bought the protectors and since then I've never skated without them again. You have to get used to them a bit because they are relatively tight but if you just put them on after unpacking and wear them for 1-2 days away from the sport you get used to them, the ankle is really well wrapped in the protectors which also means that you have to relearn the timing of some tricks but that takes 5-10 minutes. As far as torsion accidents are concerned, I can really only recommend them, in the 4 years I've been using them I've had 5 accidents where I would have torn my ligaments again, with the protectors most accidents are just annoying but not to the extent that you question your life choices. the only "problem" I have is the lacing system (which seems to have been changed with the 2.0) because you really have to sit for 5 minutes before skating to get the protectors on alone, but that's why the problem is only in quotation marks
