Do those straps hold a skateboard that’s 8,25 wide And wouldn’t those straps get loose?

Being my daily driver for the past month or so it's served me very well. It's spacious, looks good and I like the material. Haven't been using the board catcher as much as I thought but that wasn't the main selling point for me.
Great backpack, cool design, very good quality and perfect size. Use it as a school backpack, skate backpack or simply for leisure.
