DVS Rico CT Suede

Founded in 1995, DVS Shoe Company is a global footwear brand dedicated to inspiring youth to have fun and always push forward. With a focus on originality, quality and innovation, DVS creates a diverse range. Can you remember the ‘Skate More Video’ from 2005? This still is pure skateboarding. DVS offers a wide range of different shoes. Let’s have a closer look at the simple DVS Rico Suede shoe with a vulcanized sole.

General Fit and Feel

The DVS Rico CT Suede Shoe’s beauty lies in its slender minimalism, yet it is big on heaps of great features. In addition to a vulcanized outsole that guarantees perfect boardfeel, the Rico CT comes with durable suede and breathable canvas upper and convinces immediately with a slim and elegant design. This shoe is ready to skate and feels very comfortable after a little settling-in period. The vulcanized sole offers so much board-feel and grip, you never want to skate a different model. The shoe does not feature so much cushioning, but for flat / ledges and the occasional five-stair sets it is always enough.

Durability

The DVS Rico delivers what promised. The thin outer material and the vulcanized sole make not the most robust skate shoe, but still durable. The stitching at the Ollie area wears out relatively soon, while the suede in the front toe region holds on. After a few sessions, the shoe is also becoming softer and baggy. Depending on your taste, this may speak for or against the model. The outer sole is durable and retains a good grip.

Conclusion

The DVS Rico is the right choice for all fans of simple shapes and clean designs. Although the shoe is not one of the most durable, but the price speaks for itself. In addition, the shoe is relatively soft and pliable, an argument for anyone who wants a maximum board-feel.
