This is a more advanced lip trick for which you should have basics like a Rock to Fakie and a 5-0 on lock. Make sure to try the Pivot to Fakie in small transitions at the beginning and try to evolve from there.

1. Approach the quarter pipe with enough speed. Put your back foot in the middle of your tail, slightly closer to the bolts of your back truck.

Your front foot should be placed between the middle of your board and the bolts of your front truck.

2. Shortly before your front truck reaches the coping lean back a bit and slightly press on the tail of your board to raise the front truck.

3. Now wait until your back truck reaches the coping as well and then turn your hips for 90 degrees to lock into the Pivot on your back truck.

Unlike Axel Stalls, your bodyweight needs to be shifted only on your back truck. When turning into the Pivot, it is important to only turn your hips and leave your shoulders straight, this will also help you for coming out Fakie.

4. Now shift your weight from the heel to the toes of your back foot and start to lean backwards down into the ramp to lift the truck of the coping.

Turn your hips back straight and keep your weight on the back truck until you can put down the front truck onto the quarter.

5. Make sure to let the front truck enter the quarter, so you don’t hang up on the coping.
