Blunt to Fakie

Blunt to Fakie is definitely a more advanced quarter pipe trick, where you need a lot of board control.

It’s a good help to have the Pivot to Fakie on lock already or at least you should have tried Blunt Stalls on a small curb. Besides that, it’s elementary to have a good feeling for tricks in transitions to feel safe when training for this one. Once mastered this trick will get you a lot of props in the skate park and it always looks good.

Trick Tip Step By Step: Blunt to Fakie

1. Approach a quarter pipe with enough speed and put your feet into the Ollie position.

Shift your weight backwards shortly before your board reaches the coping.

2. The moment your back truck leaves the quarter pipe, put your weight on the tail so that you lock in your tail and back wheels on top of the coping.

3. Make sure you lean back with your weight on your back truck and try to keep the board as vertical as possible, so you don’t slip out of the stall.

4. Now it is time for the most difficult part, the Pop Out back into the quarter. Push down hard on the tail of your board and do the Ollie motion.

5. Try to pop away from the coping so that you are able to land with both of your trucks in the quarter so you don’t hang up.
