Copa Mundial on the skateboard?

adidas Copa Nationale Wear Test - Review

With the Copa Nationale, adidas is once again making technical progress in the development of skate shoes and modern cupsole constructions. The focus for this shoe is primarily on boardfeel and boardcontrol. It’s no surprise that the athletic silhouette of a soccer shoe feels right at home. What is new, however, is the durable, textured rubber tip of the adidas Copa, which is designed to provide improved flick. The Cloudfoam EVA heel cap promises cushioning and additional support.

Fit & Boardfeel

After just a few minutes on the board, it was clear that delving into the depths of the adidas shoe archive had been worthwhile. The Copa Nationale’s low profile silhouette made a strong showing from the start. Thanks to the Cloudfoam EVA heel cup, the shoe offers plenty of stability and enough cushioning. The textured rubber tip in the toe area also makes a positive impression. Whether this significantly improves the shoe’s flick is hard to tell.

Durability

One thing’s for sure, the textured rubber tip protects the material underneath, which definitely contributes to extended durability. The adidas Skateboarding Copa Nationale still makes a solid impression even after many hours of skating. As expected, the material and workmanship are high quality. I did not notice any unusual signs of wear and tear. The sole of the adidas Copa seems especially unfazed and still looks like new, even after several days on the board.

Conclusion

The Copa Nationale definitely brings a breath of fresh air to the skate shoe market. The release colorway certainly doesn’t suit everyone’s style – but adidas Skateboarding has a few more in the pipeline. At 89,90 EUR, the Copa Nationale won’t necessarily win any awards for financial fair play. But considering the shoe’s solid performance, it’s definitely justified.

    Hello,
Maybe you can help your customers by mentioning if the shoes you are reviewing run true to size or not which is one of the major issues when buying online.
    Thanks
