He just landed the opening part in adidas’ Away Days, now Lucas Puig debuts his new signature model on the Three Stripes. May we present the adidas Skateboarding Lucas Premiere ADV!

Lucas Puig’s vita is one of a kind: pro on adidas Skateboarding, veteran at Cliché and, if that is not enough, the face of Hélas. Knowing this, one can easily think that everything this French guy touches turns into gold. But as always, sometimes life gets in the way and unexpected things happen. On his last day of shooting Away Days Lucas Puig tore his ACL, which leaves the 29-year-old now with a lot of physio and patience instead of doing new projects. Fortunately, the clip for the adidas Lucas Premiere ADV was filmed in the injury-free stage, so that the release of the now third Lucas Puig pro model debuts without delay.

As one of the most technologically gifted street skaters of his generation, it requires a shoe to meet his needs in both skate quality and optics. The Lucas Premiere ADV matches these expectations completely. Inspired by the silhouette of an adidas tennis shoe from the 70s this signature shoe focuses on small details. Reducing the weight of the sole and the upper ensures that the shoe isn’t only lighter, but also more close to the board, which leads to a great balance of board feel and protection.

In order to increase the breathability of the adidas Lucas Premiere ADV, the upper features a combination of mesh and suede. Perforations on the quarter panel and the toe cap as well as a woven tongue provide excellent ventilation. While perforated suede is strategically placed on important areas like the ollie or heel area to prevent blow outs, the toe area is additionally equipped with adiTUFF material – a technology used on golf or tennis shoes to offer extra durability and abrasion resistance.

Because Lucas Puig actually never skates with insoles, the first idea was to design a super-clean shoe without insoles. But he rejected the idea, because he would probably be the only one to enjoy them. Therefore, the first colorway of the adidas Lucas Premiere ADV comes with insoles but with a clean look of white and cream tones, which fits Lucas Puig’s unique style in any way possible. Two more colourways will reach us in the near future. Until then, you should definitely try out this banging old-school treasure!
